The stadium's official name during the World Cup is "Volgograd Arena."

One of the architectural features of Volgograd Arena is the circular roof on the cable stand. Numerous ring-mounted steel wire cables embellish the stadium's roof into a shape similar to bicycle tires. The stadium has 43 lifts, 24 specially designed for people with disabilities.

The overall structure of the Volgograd Arena adopts an open grid design in the shape of an inverted cone, with a height of 49.5 meters and a maximum diameter of 303 meters. The Volgograd Arena is equipped with about 45,568 seats divided over two tiers, including 2,280 media seats, 640 VIP seats, and 460 seats for the disabled. After the World Cup, capacity was reduced to 35,000 seats.
