Climate

The climate of Annapurna I is complex and changeable, roughly similar to that of Mount Everest. The winter half of the year is dry and windy, and the summer half is the rainy season. From the beginning of June to mid-September every year, the heavy rain brought by the strong southeast monsoon causes frequent ice avalanches and avalanches, resulting in a harsh climate where the mountains are filled with clouds and fog, and the ice and snow are raging. From mid-November to mid-February of the following year, due to the strong northwest cold current, the temperature can reach -60°C, the average temperature is between -40°C and -50°C, and the maximum wind speed can reach 90 m/s.
