The Leonardo was designed by Co-Arc Architects. It was built in November 2015 and completed in 2019. It is 11 meters higher than the Carlton Center Building and has become the top skyscraper in Africa. The Leonardo Tower is a multifunctional building that combines offices and residences. The entire building cost about 2 billion rands. The architects used thin sheets of Dekton, a super-strong material, for its exterior cladding.
The Leonardo is equipped with 1300 parking spaces, ten floors earmarked for hotel use. The high-end offices and luxury residences built on the top floor have a total area of 15,000 square meters, and the largest space is nearly 2,800 square meters, all of which can overlook the city view at 360 degrees.
