JetBlue Carry-On Luggage Rules

JetBlue Carry-On Size Limit

The total linear dimension of the luggage must not exceed 45 linear inches or 115 centimeters. The wheels and handles are also included in the calculation of size dimensions. Be careful when buying luggage because manufacturers don't always list the size of their product, including wheels and handles. If your bag is oversized, you will be forced to check it in and pay a fee.

You can also take one personal item as part of your carry-on allowance. The size of the personal bag is limited to 17 x 13 x 8 inches or 43 x 33 x 20 cm. The personal item must be of a size to fit properly under the seat in front of the passenger.

JetBlue Carry-On Weight Limit

JetBlue does not currently have a weight restriction for carry-on luggage. Please make sure your items can be lifted into the overhead bin if assistance is unavailable or the item does not fit underneath the seat. If your carry-on luggage is too large to fit in the sizer or the overhead space, you will be forced to check it and be charged a checked baggage fee.

Details about JetBlue Carry-On Luggage

• On international flights, overhead luggage space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, which means that if you board in a later group, you may not be able to bring your carry-on luggage into the cabin. You should board as soon as possible if you are bringing a large musical instrument. The space in the overhead bin is not guaranteed
• You can also bring duty-free items that you have purchased after security, a diaper bag for an infant, a coat, umbrella, or assistive devices, etc. These do not count against your allowance.

JetBlue Checked Luggage

The truth is that if your carry-on allowance is not enough for you, you'll need to bring a checked bag, which means you should also know the details about checked luggage fees. Stardand JetBlue's checked baggage fees are $35, and your checked bag can be 62 linear inches. 2 or more checked bags will cost even more. Do not forget there is a weight limit of 50 lbs. Oversize and weight restrictions can be expensive.

Checked Luggage Fee

If you are flying on a Blue Plus, Mint, Mosaic fare, or JetBlue Plus cardmember, your 1st checked bag is free of charge. The fees below apply to checked bags added at the airport or within 24 hours of departure. Overweight and Oversized Bag fees

If you plan to check in more than two pieces of luggage or any item that will incur extra charges, you can add this luggage to your booking 24 hours before departure or at the airport to avoid overweight charges. Baggage that does not meet the size or weight restrictions is considered oversized and overweight and will be charged as follows:

Oversized bags will require to pay an additional $150 each, provided they are under 80 inches in linear dimension. If you are traveling to or from London, it will be 120 Euros per bag. The checked bag cannot be bigger than 80 inches.

Overweight bags If it is heavier than 50 pounds, but under 99 pounds, you will have to pay an overweight fee of $150 per bag, 120 Euros if you are flying to or from London. The Checked bag of more than 99 pounds is not allowed on the flight.
