Glove Size Chart report
Gloves are clothing or protective equipment that wraps hands. Their functions include keeping hands warm, decorating religious symbols, etc. From the 13th century, European women began to wear gloves for decoration. These gloves are generally made of linen or silk, and most of them are made of animal leather. Until now, many formal occasions have worn gloves to show dignity. Popes, cardinals, and bishops wear white gloves when performing Mass, which serves the dual purpose of decoration and symbolizing sacredness.
Nowadays, gloves are indispensable for people to keep warm in winter. Of course, they also have protective functions and some special meanings. People wear the wrong glove size. When they are wearing gloves to keep warm, it may not be the worst thing if they are off by a size. However, gloves that are too small or large can result in job completion delays, as well as possible hand injuries.
Some works or industries require high-quality, specialized work gloves, and people need the gloves to fit. The gloves can be uncomfortable, cause hand fatigue, and compromise dexterity if too small. If the glove material is stretched beyond its capabilities, it could tear or rip easily when in use. There is a glove sizing guide below to help you find the right glove size.
Glove Size Guide
When a hazard assessment identifies a need for hand protection, the employer’s responsibility is to determine the best glove for the task. Proper sizing plays a key role, regardless of the type (anti-vibration, chemical resistant, cut resistant, etc.). Sizing can be achieved with a hand measurement and referencing one of the glove size charts below.

How to Measure Hand For Glove Size
The following are steps to measure your hands and ensure your gloves fit correctly. To find your glove size, measure around your hand with a tape measure across your palm. You should use your dominant hand, the right if you are right-handed, and the left if you are left-handed.
Measure the Circumference
Wrap a fabric tape measure around the widest part of your hand. When measuring for glove size, you should always use your dominant hand — your right hand if you’re right-handed and left if left-handed. The tape measure should wrap over the top of your hand and across your palm at its widest point. Record the size of your hand at this point in inches.
Measure the Length
Spread your hand and fingers and place the tape measure at the tip of your middle finger. Then stretch the tape measure down to the base of your hand, holding it taut where your wrist begins. Again, record the length of your hand at this point in inches.
Choose the larger number
Now you have two measurements in inches. It is time to choose the larger number and round up. For example, the circumference is 5½ inches, and the length of your hand may be 6¾ inches. In this case, you would take the 6¾ figure and round up to 77, which means your glove size is 7.
Many manufacturers size gloves by extra small, small, medium, large, and extra-large instead of by numbers. If this is the case for the gloves you need to purchase, you will need to convert your measurement using a glove size chart. The glove size is slightly different due to the types and manufacturers, so you must check the specific size chart before buying.
