Flag Size report
Flags are essential items for all kinds of celebrations and festivals. One of the types of flags we are most familiar with is the national flag of our own country; in addition to that, there are company flags, state flags, etc. The national flag size of each country is different, and the shape of the national flag determines that the flag must have a fixed proportion. Common ratios are 2:3, 3:5, 1:2, etc.
Flags can be used for many occasions, whether you have a business or you want a flag for personal use. Flags for different purposes also have different size requirements. The standard flag with grommet eyelets is the most commonly displayed and is typically flown horizontally on a vertical freestanding outdoor flagpole.
The usual flag size used at home is 3' x 5'. A casket flag is 9-1/2' x 5'. Keep in mind that certain variables may change the size of flags that you can fly on your flagpole. Here is a sizing guide to teaching you how to choose the right size flag for your flagpole.
Flag Size Guide
There are several standard flag sizes which can be used for different reasons and occasions. Sizes are quoted as height by width. For in-ground flagpoles, the flag's length should be one-quarter to one-third the height of the pole. For example, the flag should be 3' x 5' if you had a 20ft flagpole.
